The Hartford United U-12 girls team won the championship at the 25th annual Cedarburg Labor Day Classic tournament held in Cedarburg, WI on September 2-4, 2005.
First up on Saturday morning was a team Hartford has not faced yet - Whitefish Bay Red. The girls controlled the tempo of the game and finished with a 4-0 victory. Next up was a familiar foe in Cedarburg Green which Hartford has played several times always resulting in close matches. A tight defensive game ended in a 1-1 draw. On Sunday afternoon it was Mequon White who had recently finished 2nd at Hartford's own Kick Some Grass tournament. Hartford got off to a quick start and never looked back winning 3-1. The girls scored 23 points in bracket play to advance to the championship round as the #1 seed.
The championship featured Hartford against Cedarburg Green. Again Hartford got off to quick start scoring in the first 2 minutes. After two more quick goals Hartford was up 3-0. Each team traded one more goal and the game finished at 4-1. Game results:
