Hartford Sideliners Coach Training Plan

A first year coach, or a coach at the U-9 and younger level needs to attend one of the following courses within their first year of coaching: a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) State Diploma course or a Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) "G" (Modules Course).

A coach at the U-10 level needs to attend either the NSCAA Regional Diploma course or the WYSA “E” course, within two years of their first coaching assignment.

A U-12/U-14 coach should complete a NSCAA Regional Diploma or a WYSA “E” course, within one year of being assigned as a coach at that level.  In addition, they will also need to complete either the NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma course or the WYSA “D” course, within three years of accepting their coaching assignment.

These are the Hartford Soccer Clubs minimum standards for coaches. Every quality soccer club and league in the country has a minimum educational standard. These courses are not difficult and are fun to attend. The Hartford Soccer Club pays the cost of these courses. In addition, you are free to attend other clinics and schools at club cost as long as they are approved ahead of time. Please feel free to contact Jack De Selm at 262-224-5052 if you should have any questions.

More information can be found on the coach training page.
